E4Texas is a college-based experience for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. E4Texas provides an opportunity to obtain skills and experiences needed to transition into competitive, integrated employment including career awareness and self advocacy. E4Texas debuts in the Summer of 2018. We need your help to get the E4Texas off to a successful start!
E4Texas provides a college experience at the University of Texas at Austin for people with or without disabilities, who have graduated from high school (or have a GED), and who want to be a Personal Care Attendant.
The E4Texas experience combines classroom instruction with practical career building experiences in addition to independent living and self-determination skills.
E4Texas has three goals.
E4Texas includes three semesters starting in Summer 2018.
Semester 1: 4-week Summer - Bridge to Career (B2C)
Semester 2: E4Texas: Educate. Empower. Employ. Excel.
Semester 3: Spring - Internship
After successful completion of all three semesters, E4Texas students receive a Certificate of Completion from the Texas Center for Disability Studies at the University of Texas at Austin.
Provides resource materials for one E4Texas student for Fall/Spring.
