CMS 125th Anniversary Fund

In 2024, the Communication Studies department celebrates its 125^th anniversary. Founded in 1899, we are the oldest department in what is today the Moody College of Communication at UT Austin. Just as we filled a unique need for the university community all those years ago, we continue to prepare students to become expert communicators in the complex communication environment of today. 

Doing that preparation requires resources. We need help to do various events and programming as part of our annual Communication Studies Week each spring; we want support for our various student organizations; we know the benefit of bringing guest speakers to campus to talk in our classrooms and seminars; and we hope to support students seeking internships and other experiences beyond the classroom. In short, we need your help. 

So, to celebrate our 125^th anniversary, we’re seeking 125+ gifts of $125+ by the end of this anniversary year. Not only will you be helping the department enhance what we can do for our students, but we will add your name to a donor plaque celebrating all those who give back at the Anniversary Angel level or above as part of this fundraising effort.
