Our Crowdfunding Groups
Every year the National Association of Black Journalists hosts a convention bringing together members from across the nation. The annual convention consists of panels, workshops and networking opportunities which include a three-day career fair featuring top media organizations. UT NABJ’s executive board attended the 2019 NABJ Convention greatly benefitted from the strong connections they made within the journalism world. The student registration fee is over $200, which does not include airfare, food and hotel costs. UT NABJ would love to alleviate some of this financial burden for its members. Donations would go toward helping UT students attend next year’s NABJ Convention at a more affordable rate. UT Austin would greatly benefit from UT NABJ members spreading the Longhorn brand and establishing nationwide connections.
