Graduate Consulting Group Summit

Award: $2,500

This funding unlocks our most ambitious goals for GCG and the class of 2022 to broaden recruiting pipelines at all our target firms. Uniting McCombs advocates from each target firm and office to counsel with GCG leadership, Employer Relations, and Career Management will provide real-time feedback on firm needs, best practices from competing programs, and current standing of our recruiting hopefuls. The subsequent mock interviews will solidify early firm interest in our first year students, as those same McCombs advocates observe their potential and preparation firsthand. We are confident that the GCG Summit will further elevate McCombs‚ profile externally and increase the caliber of our internal preparation and competitiveness of consulting recruits. Your generous funding enables us to raise the bar for McCombs consultants and GCG programming, and we thank you for your support.

eQual MBAs

Award: $2,500

Thank you so much for the award of $2,500. This money will allow us to put on programming for McCombs at a scale that eQual has never been able to before. In the past, our events have been almost entirely funded by sourcing money from the few members of our organization, so a large sum like this will take that financial burden away from members and allow us to focus our energy on programs and events that will educate and entertain McCombs students while showing our prospective students about McCombs commitment to LGBTQ+ issues as well as diversity and inclusion at large.

To the alumni donors, we sincerely thank you for taking the time to listen to the issues that our LGBTQ+ organization faces at McCombs and honoring us with this award. We hope in the future to be able to invite you to events and demonstrate how impactful this funding will be.

Graduate Business Council - Trivia Initiative

Award: $650

Without the dedicated support and generosity of our alumni, I would not have been able to bring the bi-weekly trivia nights to campus. This was an independently led initiative ‚but one that is sorely needed to bring more inclusivity to the McCombs community. Through the EEF, I was able to afford an entire academic years‚ worth of trivia content. This initiative is intended to be a new and defining experience of the McCombs program and I am so thankful to the EEF for their assistance in making this a reality!

Health Innovation Fellows & MBA Healthcare Association Case Competition

Award: up to $8,000, in matching commitment

Health Innovation Fellows (HIF) and the Healthcare Association (HCA) are so appreciative of the MBA Alumni Endowed Excellence Fund's support for our second running of the McCombs Healthcare Case Competition. This competition brings together passionate healthcare students from across the University of Texas and continues to cement McCombs School of Business as an innovative leader in healthcare. Not only does competing in the McCombs Healthcare Case Competition provide its own inherent benefits for students in their first semester, especially those who are career switchers into healthcare, but it also prepares HIF and HCA members to compete in national healthcare case competitions. The support of the MBA Alumni Endowed Excellence Fund ensures that HIF and HCA can continue to grow the McCombs Healthcare Case Competition and attract students from outside of McCombs as well as corporate partners. We can't thank the MBA Alumni Endowed Excellence Fund enough for allowing HIF and HCA to continue to build their legacies!
