Our mission is to promote a community of support that fosters academic and professional excellence for undocumented Longhorns on the 40 acres. Monarch acknowledges complexities of the undocumented immigrant experience so we also offer support to U.S. citizens with undocumented family members.
Help us meet our fundraising goal of $1,000 to support the educational fees of our undocumented Longhorns. Monies will fund two student scholarships of $500 each. Additional monies fundraised will contribute toward textbook or tutoring fees.
“They are Americans in their heart, in their minds, in every single way but one: on paper.” -President Obama
"Receiving a scholarship would mean so much because there’s already so many I don’t qualify for because of my citizenship status."
"Working for this program means a lot to me being an immigrant myself, and seeing how much Monarch does for this population on campus is truly inspiring."
"Just like the Monarch butterflies, student journeys are tough, we just want to be the wind carrying their wings."
"By helping undocumented students, we are helping the future of the United States. Because the U.S. was built on the backs of documented, undocumented, and forced immigrants."
