Help Women and Children's Healthcare in India

Thank you all SO MUCH for helping us reach our initial goal! We are sincerely overwhelmed by all of your support.

In our last few days, we are implementing a stretch goal of $12,500, which will help us pay us for an additional restroom facility connected to the health center. The bathroom is extremely important for the community since it will be used as a teaching tool for the young children who attend the daycare!

Once again, we are completely overwhelmed with gratitude from all of the support we have received!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Our Team! : Kody, Crystal, Nathan, Abby, Alex, Mariana, and Lauryn

Who are we?

We are a group of highly motivated young individuals working together to design and implement a project to address a critical issue within a community in India. We are passionate about using our engineering and social work skills to make an impact in the world!

What are we doing?

The PUC India team is spending the whole year planning and designing an Anganwadi center for the village of Nasampalli in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. An Anganwadi center is a building that provides children’s daycare and women’s healthcare services to the local community. In the summer, we will travel to this village and partner with the local community to actually construct the community center!

(Note: The video says we have 3 projects; we have since analyzed and chosen the Anganwadi center as the top option.)

Our goal:

Our objective is to help improve the health, education and overall well-being of the people in Nasampalli. We are currently seeking funds to support the construction of our project. Our estimated cost for the project is $10,000. All of the money raised through HornRaiser will go directly towards materials for the project, construction tools, technical advising, and cultural advising. Ultimately, these funds will go directly towards improving the lives of the people in this community! Additionally all donations are tax deductible, as all donations go directly through The University of Texas at Austin.

Our message:

This project is something that we are extremely passionate about. We hope to use the skills we have developed in school to better the lives of others around the world, and we need YOUR help to do so. Please consider our cause and make a donation that will help make a positive impact in our partner community.

Help us start something here that will change the world.
