The College of Liberal Arts offers more than 50 majors located in 22 academic department,s and more than 30 centers, institutes, and programs. In every discipline we emphasize the importance of understanding history, society, and culture to help students better understand and thrive in the world beyond campus.

With Pulitzer Prize winners, Guggenheim and MacArthur Fellows, members of the distinguished National Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences among its ranks, the College of Liberal Arts is quickly becoming one of the best liberal arts colleges at a major research university, with nearly all its departments in the top tier nationally. Plan II Honors
Plan II is for students with intense curiosity about what makes the human experience meaningful. Plan II students want to understand how subjects as varied as biology, literature, history, psychology, physics, economics, mathematics, and art all intersect.
Scholarship Fund
Your gift to the Scholarship Fund will enhance opportunities for undergraduate research and increase scholarship and study abroad funding. The Graduate Merit Fellowship Program will allow the college to fully fund a small cohort of graduate students, whose research and subsequent professional careers, will raise the rankings of the college and the university.
