The Backstory

Every day on our campus, one in four students deal with food insecurity, several need student emergency services, and countless need a safe ride home. ContribUTe aims to change that.

What is ContribUTe? 

ContribUTe is a university-wide student giving campaign at The University of Texas at Austin led by the UT Student Foundation. During the month of October, students are encouraged to give back to the university, not only to address urgent issues that affect students but also to promote a culture of philanthropy across campus. 

How can you help? 

You can give any amount to the area of campus that means the most to you.

Places to which you can donate include:  

• Student Emergency Services: Student Emergency Services provides assistance to students and their families during difficult or emergency situations, such as Hurricane Harvey. 
• Food Pantry - UT Outpost: UT Outpost supports the 25 percent of students who struggle to avoid hunger. 
• SURE Walk: SURE Walk is dedicated to eliminating sexual assault and other forms of interpersonal violence from our campus community by providing safe walks and rides home.
