Our Crowdfunding Groups
The campaign has officially ended and we wanted to thank everyone who supported the campaign either by donating to the campaign, or sharing it with their friends and family!
We were able to raise $10,510 with your help! That's huge, and we are so grateful! Since our funder is matching every dollar 1 to 1, that means you helped us raise over $21,000 to help serve our veteran couples!! Those funds will allow us to serve more couples in need of support, and we couldn't have done it without you!
Our Austin group is officially halfway through the program, and all couples are already showing increased relationship satisfaction and decreased PTSD symptoms! Wow! Your hard work has helped ensure that we can help more couples see these gains!
We will post periodic updates as our first group comes to an end and as we gear up for our next groups to let you know what your donations helped us accomplish! We can't say it enough - THANK YOU!

We have officially entered the holiday season, and the holiday giving season kicks off tomorrow with Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving. A lot of programs and organizations will be doing a big push for holiday donation tomorrow, so please help spread the word about the Veteran Couples Connect program so that your friends and family will consider giving to our veteran couples this holiday season.
Additionally, we will be printing and mailing certificates for anyone who gives in honor of someone this holiday season. If you have a friend or family member who loves for their holiday gift to be a donation in their name, we will send you, or them a certificate honoring that donation.
Our campaign lasts for 10 more days, so anything you are able to do to help spread the word would make a world of difference. Thank you!

It's the week of Thanksgiving, and I know all of our minds are on Turkey, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie...or maybe that's just me. Every Thanksgiving, it is common practice to take some time to reflect on what we are thankful for. This holiday, I am thankful for the millions of active duty service members, veterans, and their families who have sacrificed so much to serve this country. I am thankful for the countless helping professionals out there who work everyday to serve them when the wounds of war come home. I am very thankful for my Marine veteran partner who helps make the work I do, and the passion I do it with so real for me. I am thankful for my wonderful team who brings that same passion to this work every single day. And finally, I am incredibly thankful to YOU, who have graciously given to this program to help us serve these couples.
Thank you to everyone who has helped us push closer and closer to that $15,000 goal these last 2 weeks! We are at nearly %25 of our goal, and feel confident that with your help and other gracious donors like yourself, we can get to 100% by December 6th!
Our first Veteran Couples Connect cohort started in Austin two weeks ago and is going great! The couples in the group are committed to putting in the time, effort, and hard work to fight for their relationships and learn the necessary tools to combat PTSD.
In addition to running this campaign, we have kicked recruitment into high gear for our Winter 2019 cohorts in Austin, Belton, and Killeen. By April, we are hoping to be able to serve another 15 couples, and your donations have helped make that a possibility! If, over the next 2 weeks we are able to raise another $12,000, that will allow us to serve another 15 couples on top of that!

Thank you to everyone who made a donation over the last week to help kick off our campaign! We appreciate your generosity and desire to help veteran couples in central Texas! This week, we were able to reach %12 of our goal, which is amazing! We have 3 more weeks to continue this momentums, and reach our goal of $15,000, which will allow us to serve 30 veteran couples!
If you have already made a donation, we encourage you to share the campaign with your networks and encourage others to donate. Tell them why this program is important to you, and why you thought it was worth donating to! These couples need our support, and they are willing to put in the hard work to fight for their relationships! Let's help them do that!
Don and Suzi, who are featured in our campaign video are a couple we have worked with before, and their story is so touching. I have never met two people who are so committed to fighting for their relationship no matter what hardships come their way. They know what it takes to keep a marriage alive, and they are happy to put in the hard work to make it happen.
At a couples retreat last summer, we asked them to come up with a mission statement for their marriage, and to write it on a a wall hanging they could display in their home to remind them of the commitment they made to each other. Their mission statement was simple: "Love Always, Forgive Often, Understand Better." While simple, that is not always easy to do, especially when life is throwing you curveballs at every turn.
We want to help Don and Suzi, and 29 other veteran couples like them learn how to love always, forgive often, and understand better. Please share this campaign so that we have the opportunity to do that.

Your gift will help the 10 individuals in each of our groups get one step closer to increased health and happiness in their lives and relationships.
Your gift will provide drinks and snacks for one meeting to help the couples stay focused on each other and not on their grumbling bellies!
Your contribution will fund the cost of relationship workbooks for 5 couples. These guides allow couples to engage in the program, record homework and maintain a lasting record of their progress.
At the end of the program, couples will be given funds for a date night out to celebrate their hard work, help them reconnect and celebrate their relationship. Your contribution will fund this experience for one couple.
Your gift will provide 5 sessions worth of on-site childcare, allowing our veteran couples to make it to session without having to worrying about finding a sitter.
This gift will support the hiring of experienced co-facilitators. Co-facilitators help maintain a safe, comfortable and productive environment in group settings for the couples throughout the 8-week program.
Your support will be directly used to provide needed supplies for all 30 couples involved in the program. Supplies will range from binders, worksheets, educational resources and food & beverages for each meeting.
Your contribution will cover the cost of one couple’s attendance at an end of program weekend couples’ retreat in the Texas hill country. This retreat will welcome all participating couples, facilitating a tranquil environment where couples can focus on one other and celebrate the commitment they made to themselves and to each other.
A donation of $750 will allow one couple to receive 8 weeks of free treatment, allowing them to repair and strengthen their relationship while combatting PTSD.
This gift will cover the cost of an experienced, licensed clinician to provide CBCT-PTSD treatment for one full cohort. Clinicians play an essential role in each couple’s success.
This generous gift will ensure that 5 couples will receive the full 8 weeks of free treatment! Your donation will offer an enormous contribution to the lives of veteran couples struggling with PTSD.
