Hello again!
We're currently 3 weeks into Hornraiser and we've raised $7,216 from 54 donors, which is SO close to our stretch goal of $7,500!
We're currently working towards our Winter Showcase on December 7th. This gives us all an opportunity to work together and see the potential of dances from their rough start to their finished product. Any team member who wants to choreograph has a chance to choose their music, teach their own choreography to teammates, and "clean" the dance so we all perform in unison. Creating each dance is a smaller version of what we do for Nationals in a much faster time frame, which feels like a first glimpse at the potential for the Nationals routines we've learned for 2018. To perfect any dance we perform, we spend hours fine tuning choreography, perfecting challenging moves as a team, and making sure everything from our fingers to our foot turnout matches at every point of the dance.
Your support and donations not only make it possible to achieve our dance goals, but they also motivate the team to challenge ourselves. So many of us have improved in our dancing and gained new technical skills throughout college, which is very rare in the dance world. This is all thanks to you and your belief in Texas Dance.
We have one week left of Hornraiser - our campaign ends the day before our Winter Showcase! Let's keep pushing until December 6th so we can reach our stretch goal!
Hello everyone!
It's currently our 4th day of Hornraiser and we've raised $3,331 from 24 donors, making us 66% towards our $5,000 goal! How awesome is that?!
Even though our Nationals trip is over Spring Break, the preparation begins now. We've started to gain support from our community through Hornraiser, which we are so grateful for. As far as practice goes, we've spent this past month learning choreography for our two routines we're taking to Daytona! YAY! Thank you to our coach Kali Boyd for our beautiful jazz piece (pictured with our team at Nationals 2017) and to our guest choreographer Katie McAninch for our fun and energetic hip hop piece (pictured with our team at practice).
Thanks to our wonderful choreographers and community support, UTDT is feeling more inspired and determined than ever to reach our goals!

Your gift of $30 will pay for a pair of jazz shoes that we wear while dancing on the stage at Nationals. For this gift, you will receive a shout-out from our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter social media sites.
Your gift of $50 can provide one team members with a jazz or hip-hop costume for Nationals. For this gift, you will receive a shout-out from all of our social media sites (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter).
Your gift of a $100 pays for a member's costume fees, including their hip-hop and jazz costumes. You will receive shout-outs on all of our social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram), videos of us after nationals on the stage in Florida.
With your gift of $300, you could pay for one of our team members travel expenses, which would include their round-trip flight to Florida! You will receive shout-outs on all of our social media sites, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. You will also be featured as a sponsor at our Winter Showcase, on our Nationals trip t-shirt worn by dancers as well as family that comes to support UTDT in Daytona, and given an opportunity to come watch a practice to witness some behind-the-scenes Nationals preparation. We will also send you videos of both dances on the stage.
With your gift of $800, you could provide us with our jazz performance costumes! Having the perfect costume is crucial to creating a uniform look and choosing the right one is important to our "story" behind why we dance. If you choose to donate our jazz costumes, you will receive shout-outs on all of our social media sites, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. You will also be featured as a sponsor at our Winter Showcase, on our Nationals trip t-shirt worn by dancers as well as family that comes to support UTDT in Daytona, and given an opportunity to come watch a practice to witness some behind-the-scenes Nationals preparation. We will also send you videos of both dances on the stage.
With your gift of $2,000, you could provide a hotel room for each member for each night we compete in Daytona! We stay up late (about 1 AM) cleaning and need to be performance ready again early in the morning, but the few hours sleep we get are crucial to having our best performance, and your donation of $2,000 could provide that for us. You will receive shout-outs on all of our social media sites, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. You will also be featured as a sponsor at our Winter Showcase, on our Nationals trip t-shirt worn by dancers as well as family that comes to support UTDT in Daytona, and given an opportunity to come watch a practice to witness some behind-the-scenes Nationals preparation.
