That is why the International Office is committed to educating leaders for a global economy, creating global connections for the university and positively impacting the world through our efforts as the central home for study abroad, international student and scholar services, English as a Second Language services, and cross-disciplinary international projects at The University of Texas at Austin.
Whether your international experience was as an international student at UT or as a Longhorn abroad, we know it was pivotal to your growth professionally and personally. Now you can make that experience possible for more Longhorns.
More than 4,400 Longhorns take their education abroad each year. In a recent Gallup poll, 85 percent of alumni said that studying abroad contributed to their success after graduating from UT, more than any other activity on campus. But for many students, the cost of studying abroad can be prohibitive. Help us open a world of opportunity to Longhorns who would otherwise be unable to study abroad.
Over 8,000 international students, scholars, and students of English as a Second Language come to UT from over 140 countries. With their talents and unique perspectives, these global citizens enrich the campus with cultural diversity and academic contributions that are critical to the mission and values of the university. But international students at UT have limited financial aid and employment opportunities due to their immigration status. Help UT attract and retain the world’s best undergraduate and graduate students.
