Folks,
we are very excited to report that registration for ALAFF, the MOOC on edX that you helped fund, opened for registration today. https://www.edx.org/course/advanced-linear-algebra-foundations-to-frontiers
Maggie and Robert are going to have a very busy month, since the course starts on Jan 15 and there is still a lot of work to finish. Also, this Spring we will offer all four of our MOOCs:
Fortunately, Devangi Parikh will be taking the lead for LAFF-On PfC and LAFF-On PfHP.
Make some or all of these courses part of your New Year resolutions!
LAFF Long and Prosper!

Contributing what you can will give us a thumbs up that you care. Any amount will be appreciated!
The notes, videos, carefully scaffolded homework, and other activities are the foundation of this course. Help fund them!
As in our other MOOCs, we link the foundational material to the frontier of the field through enrichments at the end of each week. These are the "nuggets" that go beyond.
The materials have been chunked into convenient pieces that we call units. A typical unit incorporates videos and exercises to help discovery learning.
A set of coherent units combine into a section. A section corresponds roughly to a topic covered in a lecture.
Advanced Linear Algebra: Foundations to Frontiers is a full semester course, with around 14 weeks of material. Each week focuses on an important topic in linear algebra. The week starts with a launch that gives a glimpse of what is to come. Upon concluding the core material for the week, enrichments expose you to the frontier. At the end of the week, the key concepts are summarized.
