Hey y’all! Our Humanitarian Product Design team is partnering with the Red Cross to provide sustainable power for refugee families all over the world and we need your help! Power demand is a huge problem in refugee camps and when it is available, it is rarely environmentally friendly. We are creating a device to economically and efficiently convert wind energy to usable power so that refugees have access to electricity for their most basic needs.
Help launch us into our goal of designing and manufacturing this device for refugees by donating to our team! Thank you, and hook ‘em!
Every home needs lights, and 20 watts will provide enough energy to sufficiently light a refugee home!
The 50% of children who attend school at refugee camps can continue to learn even after the sun goes down!
Only about 10% of refugees have access to electricity and this will help others get access to energy through renewable sources!
There are currently over $25.1 million refugees around the world - the highest to date!
The largest renewably powered refugee camp is located in Jordan and is as large as 49 football fields.
Wind turbines retain 1,160% of their input energy when converting to electricity!
Our partner, the International Federation of the Red Cross, was founded in 1881!
A gigawatt of power is more than any conventional power plant can generate and your generous donation is more than we could have ever hoped for!
