It's been a week of beginnings and endings. We have crew members graduating who have been with us for four years, but they're going on to do amazing things. We have crew members who have finished their first year of college and have learned the true meaning of sleep deprivation. We're nearing the end of our Horn Raiser campaign, but thankfully we're now able to use the funds to buy much needed upgrades, repairs, and set design!

Everyone at Local Live would like to thank each of you for showing your support. We are incredibly fortunate to attend an amazing school in a great community that offers so many opportunities for students to pursue their dreams. We truly love what we do and we appreciate all of the University members, alumni, friends, and family who have donated to our campaign. It is because of you that we can continue to do what we love.

Thank you to all who donated during the UT's 40 for 40 campaign. Big shout outs for Denis Gineris, Cathy Crews, Mark and Lesley Carter, and Emily Erwin for supporting us last week.We raised more than $100 during those 40 hours alone! Our campaign is wrapping up soon but if you still want to help us out a bit more share this link with as many people as you know.

It's truly awesome to see how many of you like what we do at Local Live enough to help support us. Putting on a show for local musical talent is something that we love to do every week and your donations go miles towards helping us do this.

First, thank you to our anonymous donor last week for their sizable donation, and thank you again to everyone who has supported Local Live. We're nearing the end of our campaign with only 11 days left and still have a ways to go to meet our goal.

Beginning at 4 a.m. tomorrow morning, the University of Texas is kicking off their annual 40 for Forty Acres Fundraiser (#UT40for40). For 40 hours, organizations and faculty across the campus kick off a major fundraising campaign and ask the community and alumni to give back to our amazing school.

During this time, the Horn Raisers have a little competition among ourselves. The Horn Raiser campaign to receive the greatest number of donations during that 40 hours gets addiction monetary awards. Which means 100 $1 donations is better than 1 $100 donation.

Thank you for all of your support you've shown for our show. We're incredibly fortunate to have the means and opportunity to combine our love of local music and production, and share both with all of you. Your donations with go to improving the set design and equipment so that Local Live will continue to be the longest running show on the University's network. 

The last couple of weeks have been incredible emotional on our campus. Out of respect for those who mourned the loss of one of our own, we refrained from campaigning. We have also decided to extend the campaign another 15 days in order to reach our goal.

We are incredible grateful to everyone who supported us. We strive to make our part of the University of Texas at Austin the best it can possibly be. Like all organizations at the University, we want to give everyone the opportunity to expand their interests and passions in a safe and fun environment.

The entire Local Live crew is so blessed to have the space and means to invite local bands to play in our studio each week for our students and worldwide followers. Please continue to show your support so that we may make one of the longest running shows at the University of Texas even better.
