Our Crowdfunding Groups
Thank you all for your donations! We're happy to announce that we're at 90% of our goal within the first week! Because of y'alls overwhelming support for our mission and our program, we've decided to create a stretch goal of $2,000. This will allow us to fund another composition, so that we can of feature another talented student composer and performer! In addition, we are hoping to add another venue so that our student performers can share their music with more members of the Austin community and gain some valuable performance opportunities. Thank you all again for helping us provide insightful performance experiences for our fellow colleagues at the Butler School of Music. Hi! We're the Butler School Collage Series!Our mission is to offer insightful experiences that would benefit the careers of the music students at the University of Texas. Unfortunately for many music students, it is hard to find chances to perform for an audience. As a school sponsored recital series, we provide opportunities for students to formally perform solo works outside of studio classes, master classes, and degree recitals. We're excited to share that the Collage Series is now beginning to reach out to the greater Austin community, bringing classical music to local audiences. We are constantly using music to connect with others!
We are commissioning a NEW piece from our very own Composition Department, dedicated to the sights and sounds of East Austin! This piece will be the highlight of our Annual Community Concert. Your donation will help us pay for the posters and advertisement for this special concert, as well as the talented collaborative pianists provided for the student performers and reception afterwards. More importantly, your donation will also help us award prize money a specially selected talented student composer and student performer from the Butler School of Music for the new commissioned piece! In order to fulfill our mission, we greatly appreciate any contribution!
Your gift of $20 will pay for the posters for one community concert. The more posters we have, the more people will hear our talented students' music!
Your donation of $80 will pay for one collaborative pianist fee. Collaborative pianists are extremely busy and work very hard to make our soloists sound great! Your donation can help us appreciate them more!
One of the fun things about recitals are the reception afterwards! Your donation allows us to provide food and beverage after each recital!
A very talented student will be selected to perform the commissioned piece. Your donation will to go pay for their work and dedication! You will receive a recording of this special piece!
A commissioned piece will be selected from our Composition students. This piece is dedicated to the sights and sounds of East Austin. Your donation goes to the selected student as prize money! You will receive a recording of the special piece.
Your donation fulfills all we need to showcase our Annual Fall Community Concert Series and newly commissioned piece based off of the sights and sounds of East Austin to the local community! You will receive a shoutout from our Facebook page @bsomcollageseries AND receive a video recording of the new work!
