Our Crowdfunding Groups
The green couches at the Butler School of Music are the epicenter of student life. Every day, students study, wait for their next class, and make lifelong friendships on those very green couches. Among the students, faculty, and staff at BSOM, the couches have a reputation for their age and condition, and rightfully so as the couches are over 40 years old. Members in various related BSOM organizations can even recall their own parents' experiences on those same couches.
The Butler School of Music hosts many concerts, festivals and competitions throughout the year. These events collectively bring thousands of guests who utilize the green couches and observe their state of distress. Not only are the green couches infused with dust from years of accumulation and home to hundreds of bugs, many of them have rips, tears, and damaged interior.
Mu Phi Epsilon, Phi Mu Alpha, and Sigma Alpha Iota are music fraternities within the Butler School of Music. We are working together to replace the green couches to not only enhance the visual aesthetic of the school of music, but to enhance the student experience as well!
