Over $1000 Raised!
Thanks to our generous Senate alumni, we've raised over $1000 and are a fifth of the way towards our goal! We still need your support in reaching our goal in this final stretch.
Moving Forward
Beyond the 5 scholarships currently offered, Senate hopes to use the scholarship endowment fund to create a textbook scholarship to address underserved student needs. A larger endowment fund that generates more interest per quarter will allow us to establish a Textbook Scholarship offered by the Fundraising Committee to grant deserving students more flexibility in their college experience.
Contribute before March 6th to help us better serve the UT student body as the official voice in academics!
Thank You!
We've raised a little over $100 so far, but we still need your support in reaching our goal! Thank you donors for contributing to financial accessibility in higher education.
Looking to the Future
We've just launched our Academic Improvement and Study Abroad Scholarships for the 2019-2020 academic year, and we are so excited that Hornraiser is helping us to create a more sustainable source of funding for these opportunities. The Academic Improvement Scholarship aims to reward students who've improved their GPA from below a 3.5 by at least .5 points using campus resources. It's a really important step towards removing financial barriers to retention in university, and we are still in need to support to continue to allow/expand these opportunities to deserving students. The Study Abroad Scholarship allows more flexibility in student study abroad plans, granting them the opportunity to broaden their perspectives.
