Support Care for Central Texans in Need

Your support will help provide care for our neighbors in need — during today’s crisis and beyond.

The COVID-19 pandemic impacts all Central Texans — and community members without access to shelter or places to social distance are particularly vulnerable. Without resources for housing and hygiene, community members experiencing homelessness are at high risk for getting COVID-19. Even more troubling, people that do contract COVID-19 may not be able to get the care they need to recover.

HOW YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

As COVID-19 continues, our neighbors experiencing homelessness need your support. Dell Medical School’s Dr. Tim Mercer and Dr. Audrey Kuang are teaming up with community partners to develop long-term, sustainable methods to provide care for people experiencing homelessness.

Your gift today will be matched dollar for dollar up to $100,000 through the generosity of JP’s Peace, Love & Happiness Foundation.

Gifts will help us care for our community members experiencing homelessness by:

  • Administering vaccines reducing the spread of COVID-19
  • Providing ongoing testing for COVID-19 to catch and contain the virus
  • Treating patients for COVID-19 and related health concerns
  • Onboarding additional health professionals dedicated to caring for this population

ABOUT OUR PARTNERS:

It’s hard to receive consistent care or recover from illness without a place to stay. Dell Medical School is grateful for our community partners working to expand short and long-term shelter options for over 2,000 Central Texans experiencing homelessness.
