Our Crowdfunding Groups
The University of Texas Dance Team is the competitive dance team at the University of Texas. As an organization under RecSports, we compete annually at two competitions and various performances around campus. American Drill Team Society (ADTS) is our regional competition in Denton, Texas which we use as a practice run for nationals. National Dance Association (NDA) Nationals is the biggest collegiate national competition and teams from all over the country come to Florida to compete, with the hopes of becoming national champions. We are a fun and accomplished group of young women who are very diverse when it comes to our studies at UT. Almost every team member has a different major and career goal that we are working towards, but our passion to continue dancing in college is what brings us all together.
Unfortunately, because we are not under the athletic program at our university every member of the team has to pay their own way to nationals every year. Additionally, due to unprecedented COVID-19 circumstances, it has been increasingly difficult for our members to afford nationals costs. This includes the plane ride to get to Florida and back, competition fees, music editing, and costumes for both of the dances we compete. These necessary items can add up very fast, which is why we need your help!
We greatly appreciate any gift given, and everything you give will be put towards nationals expenses. We are always aiming to better ourselves, our team, and other fellow longhorns. With your help, it will be much easier for us to focus on our passion for dance and sharing that passion with our university and community!
Your gift of $30 will pay for a pair of jazz or hip-hop shoes that a member can wear on the nationals stage. For this gift, you will receive a shout-out from our social media sites; Facebook and Instagram.
Your gift of $50 can fund one of our team members with a jazz or hip-hop costume. For this gift, you will receive a shout-out from our social media sites and a signed picture of us at Nationals.
Your gift of $100 pays for a member's costume fees. This includes their hip-hop and jazz costumes, as well as the associated shoes for each dance. You will receive shout-outs on our social media sites, videos of us on the nationals stage in Florida, and a signed picture of us at Nationals.
With your gift of $300, you could pay for one of our team member's travel expenses, which includes their flights to Florida and back to Texas. You will receive shout-outs on our social media sites, an opportunity to watch one of our practices before we head to nationals, videos of both dances on the nationals stage in Florida, and a signed picture of us at Nationals.
With your gift of $700, you could send a member to nationals with their entire trip paid for. You will receive shout-outs on our social media sites, be featured as a sponsor at our Spring show and on our nationals T-shirt, and have an opportunity to watch a practice before we head to nationals. Additionally, we will send you videos of both dances on the nationals stage and a signed picture of us at Nationals.
With your gift of $2000, you could send 3 Texas Dance members to nationals with their entire trips paid for! You will receive multiple shout-outs on our social media sites, be featured as a sponsor at our Spring show and on our nationals T-shirt, and have an opportunity to watch multiple practices before we head to nationals. Additionally, we will send you videos of both dances on the nationals stage and a signed picture of us at Nationals.
