The current class of freshmen Turing Scholars has 215 students, 32% of whom are Texans. 35% of these students are women.
The median SAT Score for admitted Turing Scholar students is a 1560 out of 1600. The median SAT Quant score--800 out of 800. Turing Scholars also graduate in the top 1% of their high school class.
The Turing Scholars Program is excited to announce a new partnership with the McCombs School of Business Honors Program, the honors program for outstanding Business undergraduates at UT Austin. The percentage of Turing Scholars students who graduate with the thesis is steadily growing. Almost all that have gone on to graduate school for a PhD attend top 10 departments like Cornell, Stanford, UIUC, Berkeley, CMU, MIT, Northwestern, Oregon, and UW.
Not only does the Turing Scholars program enhance these student's technical skills, but gives them a robust interdisciplinary experience, producing exceptional and well-rounded computer scientists.
