Hello! We are the 2020-2021 Thailand Team for Projects with Underserved Communities (PUC). Our goal is to build a kitchen for the Bannonggo School in Suphan Buri, Thailand, but we need your help to achieve this.
Meet Team Thailand
Our team consists of 5 students from the Cockrell School of Engineering and the Steve Hicks School of Social Work. We are all very excited for the upcoming year and all of the work that we will be doing for the Bannonggo School. We have all pledged to cover the costs of our own travel expenses, so everything donated will go directly to the completion of the project.
The Community
We are partnering with the New Life Church in Suphan Buri for this project. They work closely with the Bannonggo School, and informed PUC of their need for a kitchen. The Bannonggo School has a cafeteria, but they do not have a kitchen, so they currently need to cater food everyday for the students. For some students, this is their only meal of the day.
Our kitchen will provide an opportunity for the Bannonggo School to cook nutritious lunches for the students everyday. A healthy meal can make a considerable impact in the lives of these students, and also in their ability to learn.
Our Project
Throughout this year, our team is working with practicing engineers and professors to help design this kitchen. We are also meeting with members of the New Life Church regularly to update our plans based on the school's needs. Our kitchen is designed to accommodate the Thai cooking style, and also includes a space for a teacher’s lounge, as requested by the community. We are doing everything we can to help the Bannonggo School, but we still need your help to complete this project.
We need your help!!!
Our project for the Bannonngo School is relying on you. Whether through donation or through spreading the word to others, your contribution to this project is vital. 100% of our proceeds will go to the project expenses, including materials and construction. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to our HornRaiser campaign, sharing our message to others on your social media, or becoming an ambassador for our project! We need your help, and any contribution is greatly appreciated by our team, and by the Bannonngo School community in Thailand.
