$33

This Festival's Projects!

Your donation will help fund one or more of the 33 completely original, student-led projects in our festival!

$51

Student Leaders

The Cohen New Works Festival empowers students to take responsibility and initiative for their artistic, entrepreneurial and intellectual development. We have 51 student leaders involved this year, including the members of our Executive Committee and our project leads. This number will only grow as our leaders recruit other artists for their projects!

$250

A Virtual Festival

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this year's festival is taking a new approach by showcasing 33 new works virtually. This means that students (graduate and undergraduate) are developing groundbreaking ways to produce, develop and showcase new works in a digital platform. Your donation would help fund one project's access to new technology and modes of performance.

$400

Projects Created

The Cohen New Works Festival showcases dynamic plays, wild performances, original dance, new music, invigorating design and visionary direction. In the history of the Cohen NWF, we’ve produced over 400 completely original, student-led projects!

$750

Collaboration

The Cohen New Works Festival encourages new creative partnerships across many disciplines and build relationships across the Department of Theatre and Dance, the College of Fine Arts and The University of Texas at Austin, and even with industry professionals. Your donation would pay for one guest artist to appear at the festival and share their artistic and industry insight with our students.

$2,001

Our Namesake

The Cohen New Works Festival was named in honor of David Mark Cohen in 2001, and in his honor the Cohen New Works Festival continues to explore the endless possibilities of devised and collaborative new work.

$11,000

Match Us

Your donation would match the $11,000 that we raised for the last festival.

$17,000
