The Impact Factory is tackling longstanding social problems—like poverty, hunger and homelessness—in bold, new ways. A first-of-its-kind collaboration, The Impact Factory at the University of Texas fosters civic innovation, entrepreneurship and service learning beyond the classroom.

Teaching
The Impact Factory equips tomorrow's change-makers with the knowledge, skills and networks they need to tackle longstanding social problems. We offer experiential learning programs, fellowships, and formal courses to students such as Impact Corps. This project deploys UT Austin students, equipped with training in human-centered design and civic entrepreneurship, alongside partner community organizations for real-world, hands-on experience building and launching innovations for community impact.

65 percent of jobs in the U.S. over the next decade will require some postsecondary education. Yet, less than half of Texans have some level of postsecondary education. The Impact Factory is working to connect people to training and educational opportunities when they visit the doctor.
Main Street Relief, a national non-profit in The Impact Factory's portfolio, helps small businesses during economic crises. The organization has over 150 volunteers helping business owners in 15 states.
