The School of Information (iSchool) is a premier research and education program for the 21st century field of information. We are changing the future by engaging the present and preserving the past. Research and teaching at the iSchool changes the ways that we interact with information and technology, changes how information can make the world a better and fairer place, and changes the ways we protect and preserve our collective memory. We are educating the next generation of information creators, innovators, brokers, designers, and researchers.
The iSchool is raising scholarship funds to attract talented future students and to support the innovative students currently at our school. Endowed scholarships allow us to provide named scholarships and fellowship funding each year for our master's and Ph.D. students, lessening their financial burden while they learn to design new tools, analyze human activities, organize information, and ensure technology serves its intended users.
The Class of 2021 gifts will have a direct impact on our students‚ the next generation of information professionals and future leaders in the information field. Endowed scholarships will ensure that the School of Information will continue to attract the brightest students to our programs and graduate information professionals who are committed to shaping the field of information for the benefit of society and are prepared to address the global information challenges facing us today and into the future.
