What is ATCE?
Society of Petroleum Engineers’ Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE) is a key event that the UT Austin student chapter provides to its members. Students have opportunities to network, learn, and gain industry experience. With the past downturn from the pandemic and changes towards the energy transition, our chapter wants to ensure many students have the ability to attend. Students will experience the conference in Dubai, UAE where they will encounter networking, exhibitions of new technologies, participate in energy transition panels, and attend technical talks. Key panels include: Post Pandemic Business Models and Strategies, Transitioning to Net Zero: Corporations and the Government, and The New Oil and Gas Journey: Agility, Innovation, and Value Creation.
Why Send UT Students?
The University of Texas at Austin's Hildebrand Department of Engineering has consistently ranked high in rankings such as number one in the county and number two in the world according to the US News Collège Ranking Report. Students have become leaders in the energy sector and will continue to do so. Attending conferences such as ATCE will empower students to innovate during the energy transition and be more aware of industry. By funding this trip, you will be shaping the future of oil and gas.
