UT Sailing Travel Expenses Fundraiser

The Sailing Team at the University of Texas is a nationally competitive club sport with the goal of expanding the love and knowledge of competitive sailing. We provide a home for both new and experienced sailors at UT Austin. Our close knit group of sailors give students the chance to be part of a supportive and friendly community. Competing is a big part of what we do and, through weekly practices and chalk talks, we continuously strive to better the skills of individual members and the Team as a whole.

Every year, our goal is to qualify for the Inter-collegiate Sailing Association's National Championships, where we compete alongside the best college sailing programs in the country. For the past several years, we have met that goal, but qualifying for Nationals comes with the associated cost of travel and lodging for both the Team and our coach. Funds raised through HornRaiser will support our UT Sailors' travel around the country in various competitions throughout both the Fall and Spring semesters. Due to a restructuring of our collegiate conference and a change in how to qualify for nationals, the UT Sailing Team is required to travel greater distances more than ever to remain nationally competitive. Given the increase in required travel, we are fundraising to support the increased travel costs.

Your donation will help cover the costs for our traveling sailors. By participating at Nationals, the Team not only gains meaningful competition experience, but also the opportunity to represent our university and subsequently grow as a program!
