The goal of fully endowing multiple scholarships for former student-athletes still remains a priority for Texas Athletics.
Those interested in supporting these former student-athletes and growing the Mary Ann & DeLoss Dodds Legacy Fund can do so here.

Over the past few months, the Longhorn Foundation has worked to fully endow the Mary Ann & DeLoss Dodds Legacy Campaign to support former student-athletes who seek to return to campus and complete their undergraduate or postgraduate degree. With only a few weeks remaining in 2016, Texas Athletics is closing in on its goal of raising $775,000 by Dec. 31.! Because of you, we have already raised more than $695,000! Thank you for supporting such an important cause.
Scholarships like these provide educational growth for aspiring leaders like Sydney Yogi. Sydney, a former volleyball student-athlete, is a current graduate student in the College of Pharmacy. She was the recipient of the Mary Ann and DeLoss Dodds Scholarship for the 2015-2016 academic year and is currently the recipient of the Whitworth/Holloway Endowed Scholarship.
Because of these scholarships, Sydney is able to continue her education and move closer towards her dream of owning an independent community pharmacy.
Sydney is very appreciative of donors and their support of Texas student-athletes saying, “I am so fortunate to be able to continue my education at The University of Texas. Pharmacy school, and all graduate programs, are very demanding. My background as a student-athlete prepared me well to appropriately manage my time, but it is still very difficult to find time to work. The scholarships I have received help ease some of the financial burden, so I can finish my doctorate degree at the top of my game.”
Again, thank you for making a difference in the lives of Texas student-athletes.
