The Community Integrated Health Initiative's (CIHI) Health Equity Fellowship, is a unique undergraduate fellowship opportunity geared towards developing equity-minded future health professionals from underrepresented communities. Through a two year program, CIHI aims to provide access, exposure, and opportunities that (1) enhance the fellows' understanding of various aspects of health equity, (2) engage fellows in networking and exposure opportunities surrounding health equity, and (3) increase their competitiveness as they apply for advance degree programs. Through these opportunities, CIHI hopes to increase the diversity of health professionals from direct service positions (doctors, nurses, mental health professionals, pharmacists, etc.) to healthcare administrators and policy professionals.
This interdisciplinary fellowship will provide opportunities to include: health equity speakers, classes, domestic site visits to organizations/institutions practicing health equity, global health equity experience, and a capstone project centered on an aspect of health equity the fellow is most passionate about.
But YOUR contribution will make this experience that much more accessible for the students! We ask that you help bring about health equity by contributing to the development of our future equity-minded health professionals. Your contributions will go a long way in the lives of the students and into the future of our communities!
