Howdy!
The University of Texas Dance Team is the official competitive dance team at the University of Texas at Austin. We are an organization under RecSports and compete at regional competitions and the National Dance Alliance (NDA) nationals in Daytona Beach, Florida, while also performing on campus supporting athletics and the local Austin community.
NDA Nationals is the largest collegiate national competition in the country with teams traveling from their respective universities to compete in Florida with the hopes of becoming national champions. We are an accomplished group of young women who are diverse in our studies at UT. Although we may have different majors and career goals, our passion and drive to continue dancing in college is what brings us all together.
We are asking for assistance in funding our journey to NDA Nationals. Unlike other D1A dance programs around the country, which are nested under their universities’ athletic programs, Texas Dance is unique because we are a 100% student-run team. This means each team member is responsible for paying their own way to nationals, which includes flight costs, competition fees, music editing, and team costumes.
With your donation, our team can focus more on our passion for dance and training to bring home a national championship award rather than on funding our experiences. We greatly appreciate any gift given. On behalf of the entire Texas Dance Team, we want to thank you in advance. We rely on our friends in the community to help keep our dreams alive and make our team a success.
