Help Build a First Aid Room for a School in Thailand!

สวัสดี (Hello)! We are the Projects with Underserved Communities (PUC) Team Thailand! Our mission is to design and build a well-functioning first aid room (clinic) for the Ban Huai Yang Elementary School in Kanchanaburi, Thailand. However, we need YOUR HELP to make this happen!

Who Are We?

We are 5 UT Austin students attending the Cockrell School of Engineering. We are very excited for this experience as it will allow us to utilize our engineering training on a global scale while gaining technical and cross-cultural skills. In addition to planning and designing, we will also be implementing and sustaining the project in Thailand during summer 2022! All of the money raised through this HornRaiser will go directly to our project and will not cover any personal team expenses.

What Are We Doing?

We are partnering with the New Life Church in the Kanchanaburi province who works closely with surrounding schools and villages, including the school in Ban Huai Yang. This partnership will help us understand the needs of the community as we plan and design our project and tailor it to their needs. We will be collaborating with professors, engineers, and local contractors throughout the process to receive advice on the feasibility of our designs for the community.

The Ban Huai Yang Elementary School has 122 students and 12 teachers. The students do not currently have a space to be treated after minor injuries or rest during recovery. Our project revolves around building a well-functioning first aid room (clinic) for the students in the school. We will complete all aspects of the structure, including laying out pipes, pouring cement, building walls, and implementing utilities.

Why We Need YOU!

To turn our vision into a reality, we need the support of our community! Every financial or social contribution to our Hornraiser will directly impact our ability to reach our goal of raising $15,000 and executing our project! 100% of proceeds go directly towards the project expenses such as raw materials, contractor labor, and technical advising services! All proceeds made on this site are also tax deductible!

ขอขอบคุณ (Thank You)!

Finally, we want to thank you for taking time out of your busy day to learn about our project and goals! We genuinely appreciate all donations and shares and can’t wait to see this project come to life with YOUR HELP!
