Who We Are
Kirindy Mitea National Park is one of the largest areas of protected dry forest in Madagascar, and contains some of the largest continuous tracts of dry forest remaining in the country! It is home to a high diversity of plants and animals threatened by habitat loss and overexploitation. The park has attracted scientists and students from around the globe to conduct their research and conservation work here, including Dr. Rebecca Lewis (the founder and director of Ankoatsifaka Research Station in Kirindy Mitea National Park) and her student Domenic Romanello.
Unfortunately, the national park lacks the resources essential to monitoring the park's biodiversity. Our goal is to establish a sustainable biodiversity monitoring initiative in Kirindy Mitea National Park to protect the lemurs, fosa, chameleons, and other species that call this park home.

How You Can Help
We need your help to provide vocational training to aspiring Malagasy conservationists! These students and local community members will work to establish a sustainable monitoring initiative for Kirindy Mitea National Park.
Our goal from today through March 11 is to raise $5,000 of the $53,683 needed to fund nearly nine months of vocational training and park monitoring. Your gift, in any amount, helps provide aspiring Malagasy conservationists with valuable learning experiences and enhances the conservation of an incredible national park.
WE HOPE TO RAISE MORE THAN $5,000 TO PROVIDE VOCATIONAL TRAINING TO MALAGASY GRADUATE STUDENTS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS. IF WE EXCEED OUR FUNDRAISING GOAL, PLEASE CONTINUE TO SHARE THE PROJECT AND GIVE!
