Alpha Psi Omega Honor's Theatre Fraternity presents Melancholy Play by Sarah Ruhl. Melancholy Play is a contemporary farce by Sarah Ruhl that premiered in 2002 at the Piven Theatre in Evanston, Illinois. It follows the sometimes melodramatic bank teller, Tilly, and her emotion-driven adventure with several other characters. This is a student produced work meaning our production staff, designers, and cast are all undergraduates at The University of Texas at Austin. All proceeds will go toward costume materials, sewing, fittings and dry cleaning. We will also buy props, wood, and power tools to build the set. The production also calls for a Cellist, who we will need to pay.
