WHAT IS THE CLASS GIFT?
The Class Gift is a campus tradition where graduating seniors rally together to raise money to support future generations of Longhorns and to build a stronger University of Texas at Austin community. The Class Gift designations are chosen by a student-led committee of graduating seniors, and when you give $20.22 to one of these designations, you leave your legacy on the Forty Acres and ensure that future students have the same great UT experience that you’ve had. This is our last opportunity to come together as a class!
This year, The University of Texas at Austin Student Foundation has chosen to support the Library Tomorrow Fund for the 2022 Senior Class Gift fundraiser. Donors can also chose to support other designations.

This year, the 2022 Class Gift Committee has chosen to feature the Library Tomorrow Fund and raise $10,000 to purchase a brand-new bookshelf with a Class of 2022 plaque to commemorate their dedication.

Reimagine the future of UT Libraries. The libraries of tomorrow will be revitalized to include collaborative spaces with a larger digital infrastructure. Library spaces reflect the needs of students, faculty, and researchers. Building digital capacity will connect them with an unimaginable amount of research material. The Library Tomorrow Fund helps our libraries continue to be innovative, adapt to the ever-changing landscape of higher education, and support the needs of our student body.

BECOMING PART OF THE TRADITION
Every Senior who gives $20.22 or more will receive a commemorative Class of 2022 Tower Pin. The pin honors your contribution to an initiative you care about and allows you to carry the legacy left behind with your fellow Longhorns along with you even after leaving the Forty Acres!
Seniors who sign up to be Ambassadors and receive 10 or more $20.22 donations through their unique ambassador link will also receive a gold philanthropic graduation cord to recognize your dedication to the Class of 2022 on graduation day!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How is the 2022 Class Gift different from tuition or endowments?
Tuition, which currently amounts to 21% of UT’s budget, helps cover the less apparent costs of facilities, utilities, faculty and staff salaries and student services. The 2022 Class Gift intends to fund programs and entities that are not adequately covered by tuition.
How do I receive the commemorative class gift tower pin?
Donate $20.22 or more and receive a Class Gift pin. Wear the pin on stage for commencement, on your backpack or anywhere else and show it off!
How do I receive the philanthropic cord?
Ambassadors who raise 10 or more gifts through their ambassador link will receive a graduation cord to recognize their impact.
How much am I being asked to give?
Our recommended donation is $20.22. With that being said, the primary goal is participation. We encourage students to participate by donating however much they currently can in a way that is most meaningful to them.
Who oversees the Class Gift?
The Class of 2022 Gift is a student-led initiative. The giving page is managed by The University of Texas at Austin Student Foundation with the support of the President’s Office and the University Development Office.
I am a parent of a class of 2022 graduate. Can I donate?
Absolutely! Parents donating for Class of 2022 graduates should include their Longhorn’s name in the donation note and will receive the commemorative 2022 Tower pin to give to their student
I am an underclassman at UT. Can I donate? If so, why should I donate?
You can absolutely donate and start your tradition of giving back to UT!
Is there any other way to donate?
Yes! You can donate through Venmo. Send your donations of $20.22 or more to @UTSTUFO. **Please make sure to include your EID, and the name of the ambassador, if there is one**
How can I become an ambassador?
Anyone can be an ambassador! Once you sign up, you will be provided with graphics, information, and other tools that you can share with your friends, family and on social media. To sign up, please follow THIS LINK and enter your email.
