Heigh-ho the holly! We did it!

July 15, 2022

Dearest Friends of Camp Shakespeare,

We did it!

With your help, Camp Shakespeare was able to raise $23,190 from 81 individual donors, which is 115% of our original goal! We couldn't have done it without the support of our friends, family, and Winedale community. Your donation ensures the magic of Camp Shakespeare can continue year after year. THANK YOU!

We would like to recognize the incredible Camp Shakespeare HornRaiser team: Madge Darlington, Maggie Megaw, and Mary Collins. They put so much heart and soul into leading this campaign. We are endlessly grateful to each of them for their belief in the mission and vision behind Camp Shakespeare.

We are grateful for the time we had together exploring As You Like It and Macbeth this summer. The students’ incredible hard work resulted in a joyful and moving affirmation of love and community. We are sad to see this summer come to a close. We are hopeful for what the future holds for each of them and for the program.

We look forward to celebrating with each of you in person over the coming year!

With love and gratitude,
Robin Grace Soto
Director

"Make use of time, let not advantage slip."

July 12, 2022

Dear Friends,

Covid has found its way into Camp Shakespeare, so Robin Grace, Doc and parents made the painful decision to end Session II a week early. Macbeth performances have been canceled and all campers are safely home.

Let's reward this valiant effort to return to in-person camp. Let's reflect on the campers' hard work and heartbreak at having to leave early. Let's make sweet use of this adversity, and "Make use of time, let not advantage slip." (Venus and Adonis, stanza 22)

3 MORE DAYS TO DONATE!

THE HORNRAISER CAMPAIGN ENDS JULY 15. There is no better way to show Doc and Robin Grace (and UT) your appreciation for their efforts on behalf of so many children.

THANK YOU, AND DEEP THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS DONATED ALREADY.

With our love and appreciation,
Maggie, Madge and Mary

Wonderful happiness!

We have reached the halfway point of our four-week HornRaiser crowd-funding campaign to benefit Camp Shakespeare, and in just 2 weeks 52 donors have helped us raise $10,413 or 52% of our summer goal of $20,000!

It was such a joy to celebrate with some of you at the Barn during As You Like It last week! Thank you for celebrating the hard work and creativity of these students. THANK YOU to everyone who has contributed in any amount. THANK YOU for helping to spread the word and amply our message.  THANK YOU for believing in the mission and vision of this program. We are watching the tallies of both dollars and donors and are deeply gratified by the continued support.

Will you help us keep up our momentum by sharing our HornRaiser link with members of your community?  Or perhaps sending a personal email to someone in your community who might be interested in joining us for one of the performances of Macbeth? We know that this project is very important to our community and we can not thank you enough for your time and dedication. Here is the direct link to share with members of your community: https://hornraiser.utexas.edu/project/31931

O wonderful, wonderful, and most wonderful!

June 21, 2022

Gentles All,

We have concluded the first week of our four-week HornRaiser crowd-funding campaign to benefit Camp Shakespeare, and in just 7 days 40 donors have helped us raise $8,595 or 42% of our summer goal of $20,000!

Before any other message, THANK YOU to everyone who has contributed in any amount.  We are watching the tallies of both dollars and donors, and are deeply gratified by the continued support.

We are looking to raise about $11,500 more in the next 20 days ($11,405 to be specific!).  Will you help us keep up our momentum by making a gift if you haven’t already?  This project is very important to our group of Ambassadors and to so many of you reading this letter.

Here is the link! Let your ducats flow like the sea!  Give as generously as you can!

We hope to see you at the As You Like It performances on June 24, 25, and 26. Follow this link to learn more!

We are so grateful for every gift. Thank you for your support!
