What is ContribUTe?
For many of your fellow Longhorns, classes and exams aren’t the hardest part of their college experience. Challenges like food insecurity, mental health issues, and unexpected emergencies can distract them from their studies and impact their ability to change the world.
That’s why The University of Texas at Austin’s Student Foundation created ContribUTe, the annual students-helping-students campaign.
And when YOU give during ContribUTe from October 1 – 31, you can help ensure our student body has full access to vital resources that help them maintain excellence as a student at UT.

The UT Outpost and Career Closet
The Outpost provides students access to free nutritious food to combat hunger. And UT Outpost Career Closet offers free professional clothing to students for interviews, internships and job opportunities.
Gifts made directly to the UT Outpost will be DOUBLED thanks to the $20,000 Matching Fund from a generous Longhorn family!
Student Emergency Services
This fund provides limited emergency financial support to currently enrolled Longhorns who are experiencing temporary or unexpected hardship. Expenses considered for Student Emergency Fund support include utilities, medication expenses, books or school related expenses, replacement of belongings lost in a fire/natural disaster and safety-related needs such as changing locks or emergency shelter.
Counseling & Mental Health Center (CMHC)
The Counseling and Mental Health Center provides free counseling, psychiatric consultation and prevention services that facilitate students’ academic and life goals and enhance their personal growth and well-being.
