Support UT Computer Science Scholarships for Diversity

THE VISION

As the largest top-ten computer science program in the country, UT Computer Science is uniquely positioned to take a lead role in making computer science a more diverse and inclusive field of study. The Texas Computer Science Endowment for Change was established to help realize this vision by providing scholarship support for ambitious, talented students from historically underrepresented backgrounds, particularly Black, Latinx, and Native American students.

For many students from these communities, UT Austin is a dream that is out of reach. Students from historically underrepresented backgrounds often experience financial barriers that discourage them from coming to the Forty Acres despite their outstanding academic achievements and the promise of their intellectual contributions. Through the Texas Computer Science Endowment for Change, we are seeking to eliminate this barrier so that all students who are passionate about and committed to advancing computer science are able to join the UT Computer Science community and participate to the fullest extent.

You can help us reach our goal of adding $25,000 to the Texas Computer Science Endowment for Change by making a gift today. With the additional funding, we will expand our support for current students and increase our efforts to recruit students from historically underrepresented backgrounds to UT Computer Science.

Help Students Graduate on Time: pending debt hinders students’ ability to graduate on time, delaying full-time employment and a stable salary. In some cases, students may even withdraw from their program entirely prior to graduation, resulting in fewer UT Computer Scientists working to make the world a better place.
