The Graduate Student Executive Committee and Undergraduate Geological Society are the Jackson School student umbrella organizations. Both groups provide a means of academic, social, and professional support and representation for geology students. The student-led organizations offer engaging speaker series, social events, and foster a greater sense of community within the Jackson School and the friendships made through these groups last a lifetime.

Your support will help provide supplemental funds for these organizations to expand their in-person programming. After the social isolation experienced during the Covid-19 pandemic, these organizations provide opportunities to build community and relationships in person again. The programming led by GSEC and UGS helps the Jackson School student body thrive and grow together as a supportive collective while pursuing academic excellence.
