Another Week of Fundraising!

February 20, 2023

Thank you to all of our donors who supported us! With your help, we have managed to raise $6,105!

We're excited to announce that we have been allowed to continue fundraising until February 27, 2023. We ask that you please continue to support us and help us reach our goal of $10,000. We are so excited to work on this project and every little bit helps!

Hook 'em!

50% there and 7 days left!

February 02, 2023

We're so excited to have reached 50% of our goal! We've been so thankful for all of the support we've received in all forms: from Hornraiser donations, to sharing our social media, hardware donations, and well wishes. Thank you so much for helping to bring self-landing rockets to UT.

Great news: we just ordered some of our first hardware to start prototyping our throttle valve actuator! Hopefully within the next couple of weeks we'll have our hands on some parts. Additionally, we're onboarding 4 new teammates! That puts our total team size at 11. Our new teammates will carry the project on once our founders graduate. It's looking to be a really awesome semester!

We have 7 days left in our fundraiser and need all the support we can get to push us past the finish line. Please consider sharing our project with people you know, and donating even $10 if you haven't already.

Thanks for your generosity and hook 'em!

Nearly Halfway!

January 25, 2023

We’re nearly at 50% of our fundraising goal for this semester! Thank you so much for all the support so far!

Running a fundraiser is a big job, but our team hasn’t slowed down our work on CERMIT. You’re looking at our updated engine CAD, which we plan to start prototyping this semester now that we can afford the materials. We’ve also been working on our throttle valve actuator design, developing partnerships with local companies to obtain scrap hardware, our test stand design, goal setting, safety requirements, engine gimbal, and our application to the Collegiate Propulsive Lander Challenge!

Can we get to 50% this week? Donate or share our project today to help us reach our goal and get our hands on some hardware to prototype!

Over 1/4 of the way there!

January 18, 2023

We have 22 days left in our fundraiser and we’ve raised over 27% of our $10,000 goal! We currently estimate that we can purchase our test stand’s fuel system with this money, but we can’t make good fire without an oxygen system... or an engine!

We are so grateful for your contributions so far and can't wait to get our hands on hardware, all thanks to you! Please keep sharing and donating to help make these systems and propulsive landing at UT Austin a reality.

$20

Supporter

Buys us various hardware and soft goods vital to our engine assembly, vehicle fluids system, and test stand development, such as fittings, bolts, lubricant and seals. We’re so grateful for your help!

$50

Affiliate

This covers the cost of enough fuel for one full-duration burn, or the current cost of one of our temperature sensors. One of our members will send you a handwritten thank you letter with a brief update on the team’s progress.

$100

Advocate

$100 covers the cost of a pressure sensor for our static fire test stand, a low pressure valve for development testing, or about 20 feet of tube we will use to route our propellants to the engine. Once we get to a static fire, we’ll send you a photo of the test with a note from the team to show our appreciation!

$500

Platinum

Buys us one full set of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for use on our test and launch days. We will engrave your name into part of our payload or vehicle (wherever it fits best) and send photos of that hardware being integrated.

$10,000

Diamond

Our hero! This donation would cover the current estimated cost of our engine, all of our vehicle fluids components, OR majority of our test stand. We'll launch something of your choice onboard CERMIT once we've proven our technology, or we'll put your name on our vehicle and test stand and share it on social media.
