The Drag Audio production house employs more than two dozen student workers who all get real-world experience producing podcasts and other audio storytelling projects. We love audio storytelling, and we especially love long-form journalistic podcasts that guide listeners through a complex story. These student-led podcasts have gathered more than 7 million plays to a worldwide audience and have earned an Austin Chronicle “best of” award for true crime storytelling.
The Drag has released seven podcasts and has 10 others in production, all produced by student staffers. Students who worked at The Drag have gone on to work at NPR affiliate stations, podcast production houses and various news organizations. Show your support today by making a donation to support our student podcasters who, in addition to juggling school work, internships, jobs and extracurriculars, are working hard to create the compelling long-form podcasts you’ll soon see at the top of the charts. Your support will help The Drag hire more students to get hands-on experience at the only university-run podcast production house in the world.
