The Communication and Leadership degree at Moody College of Communication is the only undergraduate degree offered at The University of Texas at Austin specifically focused on the study and practice of leadership. Students develop a skill set to navigate a variety of professional contexts because they build upon the key foundations of leadership and communication.
All aspects of society need ethical, effective leaders, and all leaders need to be ethical, effective communicators. The degree in Communication and Leadership is a flexible, customizable interdisciplinary program that seeks to educate and inspire future leaders to lead positive change in our complicated world.
Our curriculum prepares students to mobilize a variety of skillsets in fields such as civic leadership, public service, philanthropic administration, and corporate social responsibility. Students learn these skillsets and leadership abilities through internships or part-time jobs, participation in student organizations and in the classroom, preparing students to launch their future careers as leaders.
