Update 4

December 11, 2023

Hello everyone!

I hope you all are doing well. Friday was the last day of our HornRaiser campaign, and we're excited to say we were able to raise $14,394! Thank you so much to everyone who generously donated.

This past week was also finals week at UT Austin, so PUC Team India has been working hard to finish our project's final milestone presentation for the semester. We're about to head off in our separate directions for the break, but we'll continue to meet on zoom to work on the project and meet with the community. We'll also continue to post progress updates on our HornRaiser page and our website throughout the year, so stay tuned!

Happy Holidays and Thank You So Much,

PUC Team India

Update 3

November 27, 2023

Hello everyone!

We hope you all had a great holiday weekend. Here at UT Austin we just got back from fall break, so we've had a lot of time to reflect on what we're thankful for.

Our team as a whole is so thankful for our wonderful donors. This project would be nothing without your contributions. We are very close to 50% of our fundraising goal, and hopefully we can finish strong in the last 11 days of our HornRaiser campaign!

Here are some other things our team is thankful for this year:

  • "I'm thankful I was able to see my family over the break, and for the opportunity to participate in PUC this year." - Alana
  • "I am thankful for all the wonderful people (and cats) in my life!" -Lucy
  • "I'm thankful for receiving a good engineering education at a flagship university" - Marco
  • "I'm thankful for my family and friends that support me everywhere I go" - Rams
  • "I am thankful for the support of my friends and family and the opportunity to earn my degree at UT!" - Alex
  • "I am thankful for getting to go to college and get a degree at such a great school." - Tyler

We have a lot planned for this last week of school before finals. We're getting ready for our second Milestone presentation of the year, we're planning additional fundraising initiatives for this week, and we're having meetings with CASA and our technical advisors. We're ready to finish this semester strong, so stay tuned for more updates!

Thank you all again,

PUC Team India

Week 2 Update

November 17, 2023

Hello everyone!

As we gear up for Thanksgiving break, us at PUC Team India would like thank our wonderful donors. This project would not be possible without your support. So far, our donors have helped us raise $7,041 so far! We're 46% towards our goal!

Some more project updates:

  • On the fundraising side, our team raised over $300.00 selling handmade crafts at UT Austin this week. This was a very spontaneous event, but we were so happy with how successful this event turned out. Thank you to everyone who showed up to support!
  • We've finished a rough draft of the design. Today, we're meeting with our technical advisor, Ken Hanks PE, to review our drawings and calculations. Ken Hanks is a structural engineer working in Austin who has worked with PUC India since 2014. We're so grateful for his continued guidance and technical advice

Stay tuned for more updates,

Thank you all,

PUC Team India

Week 1 Update

November 10, 2023

Hello!

This past month has been so busy, yet exciting. In just two days, 17 donors have helped us raised $4,940 for the Bellura village community center!

I'd like to thank everyone who helped us reach our 30% fundraising goal this week. We are so grateful to have such a supportive community from across the country. Your donations mean so much to us and our mission.

Some short project updates from this week:

  1.  After meeting with our NGO this past month, we've developed the functional requirements for the community center. We're working on drafting our design right now, so stay tuned for any further updates.
  2. Our two fundraisers this past week, the Lucky Lab Coffee Co. profit share and vendor art market, were successful! Thank you to everyone who stopped by for coffee, pastries, and crafts.
  3. Our Linktree is available here. This is where we have links to our social media pages and our website, so be sure to take a look.

Once again, thank you so much to our amazing donors and everyone who is keeping up with our project.

Best,

PUC Team India
