Celebrating it's 5th year in operation, the Office of Inclusive Innovation & Entrepreneurship exists on UT's campus to ensure all students and community members can access the opportunities in Austin’s vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem by providing education in entrepreneurship & product management, leadership development, and immersive career experiences.
The mission of the office is to close gaps in wealth and income by providing young people the tools for starting new ventures, pursuing tech careers, and advancing equity for their communities. Programs of the office engage college students that identify as first generation and low-income as well as opportunity youth from the local community. This work is facilitated through two ground-breaking, credit bearing programs: Product Prodigy Institute and WIELD Texas.
Product Prodigy Institute: 2 year (4 semester) program that prepares students for careers in product management and to launch their own ventures for profit and purpose. In addition to coursework, students recieve:
WIELD Texas: 1 year (2 semester) program that prepares young women to be entrepreneurial leaders, innovators, and wealth builders through identity affirmation, leadership development, and network expansion.
In 2024, the Office of Inclusive Innovation & Entrepreneurship will scale to DOUBLE it's impact for UT students and underresourced communities. Join us in this mission - GIVE TODAY to expand inclusive innovation across Central Texas and beyond.
