Thank you for all your support! Your donation ensures the magic of Camp Shakespeare can continue year after year. We look forward to seeing you at the Barn!
Dearest Friends of Camp Shakespeare,
We did it!
With your help, Camp Shakespeare was able to raise $35,034 from 76 individual donors, which is 233% of our original goal! We couldn't have done it without the support of our friends, family, and Winedale community. Your donation ensures the magic of Camp Shakespeare can continue year after year.
THANK YOU!
We are grateful for the time we had together this summer exploring A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Tempest. The students’ incredible hard work resulted in a joyful and moving affirmation of the power of play and community. We are sad to see this summer come to a close. We are hopeful for what the future holds for each of our participants and for the program.
If you missed the window to donate during the HornRaiser, your gifts are always welcome. Simply email me at robingracesoto@utexas.edu and we can discuss other ways to make your donation and to support the magic of Camp Shakespeare!
We look forward to celebrating with each of you in person over the coming year!
With love and gratitude,
Robin Grace Soto
Director
Thank you!
Thank you!
Thank you!
We are deeply moved by your speed and generosity. You have helped us achieve our goal in just 9 days! Thus, we are going to stretch our goals to new heights! We believe there are more members of our community that want to join in this auspicious effort. In fact, our new goal is to get at least 200 people to contribute to this campaign over the next three weeks.
No contribution is too small.
The cost of being in residence rises every year. Tuition and ticket sales address some of Camp Shakespeare's expenses, but not all of them. Our new stretch goal is $35,000. This amount will ensure that the program is on a sustainable track for next summer.
If you have not given yet, please know that we still very much welcome your gifts and will be excellent stewards of all donations large and small.
Let’s keep this Tempest-like momentum going!
$76 for the 76 miles from Calhoun Hall at the University of Texas to the Theatre Barn at the Winedale Historical Center.
$108 for the number of cups of Orange Gatorade a Camp Shakespeare student consumes each summer.
$524, for the number of jests performed by the merry wanderer of the night!
$1,111 for the number of logs that Ferdinand carries for his Miranda.
$5,400 in celebration of 54 years of exploring Shakespeare through performance. Thank you, Doc!
$15,000 for the number of cowslips, love-in-idleness, wild thyme, oxlips, nodding violets, luscious woodbine, sweet musk roses and eglantine … that perfume the forest in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The Love-In-Idleness Award ensures that any additional funds raised during the HornRaiser campaign can go towards the future growth of the program!
