You can watch the first six episodes here.

About the Show:

For two decades, the popular lecture series Hot Science - Cool Talks has fascinated Austin audiences. The TV spinoff, Hot Science TV, continues its spirit of inventiveness, community engagement and learning. From the birth of galaxies to fighting cancer, the show brings leading scientists and their research to the world through engaging storytelling, music and animation.

Hot Science TV is a collaboration between scientists and artists who are devoted to STEM education. UT’s Environmental Science Institute, the Jackson School of Geosciences, and the Moody College of Communication would be honored if you joined our cause.

Season one boasts 10.5 hours of science content that can be distributed on national PBS TV stations, YouTube, Hot Science TV's website and numerous social media channels.

Hot Science TV in the Classroom:

Each episode comes with a fun, hands-on educator guide that is colorful, free, and easily accessible online. These guides empower both teachers and parents to take learning further. Whether in the classroom or at home, students can explore interactive activities that bring the exciting topics of Hot Science TV to life, sparking curiosity and deepening their understanding of STEM in a fun and meaningful way.

In a recent study, we surveyed 51 5th and 7th-grade students after they watched two Hot Science episodes. Check out our results below! This research highlights Hot Science TV's effectiveness as an educational tool. By mixing entertainment with learning, Hot Science TV is a valuable resource for teachers looking to engage their students and help them grasp complex scientific concepts.
