Who We Are:
The University of Texas Association of Black Computer Scientists (UT ABCS) is a student organization that works to build and empower members of Texas Computer Science and the broader Black community to pursue technology-related education and careers. We aim to inspire, support, and equip Black students in technological fields through mentorship, networking, and professional development, fostering a diverse and innovative tech community.
What We're Doing:
We are raising funds to support our members wanting to attend the 2024-2025 Afrotech Conference. ABCS has consistently showcased a positive presence of UT students at this conference, where we connect with the Black tech community, excel in competitions and workshops, and explore meaningful professional development opportunities. Through dynamic workshops, extensive career fairs, and collaborative events, we help students build a powerful network of resources that significantly boosts their professional growth and career advancement.

These conferences provide a great start to our careers by offering early experience across different industries. With over 250 companies and 20,000 people all across the nation, attendees often enjoy several key benefits from this conference, such as:
In addition, conferences include professional workshops where students can develop practical skills and panels where they can learn from diverse pioneers in the tech field. These skills and experiences are easily transferable to their university coursework, other campus activities, and future careers.

Thank you for supporting UT ABCS! This donation will provide a student with one full meal or help with transportation during their Afrotech experience!
This contribution will help transport students to and from AfroTech convention locations!
This amount will cover 1 student's lodging accommodations for three days at AfroTech!
With your contribution, UT ABCS students will have the opportunity to network with over 170 of AfroTech’s corporate and enterprise partners. Some of these leading composites include Google, Apple, Microsoft, and Oracle!
