About Us
The University of Texas at Austin’s National Society of Black Engineers (Texas NSBE) chapter is a dedicated community of aspiring engineers passionate about creating positive change through engineering. Texas NSBE focuses on academic support, networking, professional development, and community outreach for Black engineering students, often showcasing events, convention participation, workshops, and achievements. Our chapter connects students from all academic backgrounds, fostering an inclusive space that emphasizes academic success, professional development, and community engagement. Our members are driven, talented individuals who represent UT in national competitions and engage in meaningful networking and mentorship opportunities. Through these experiences, we build a foundation that not only advances our careers but also uplifts the communities around us.
Our Goal
We’re raising funds to support Texas NSBE members in attending the 2025 national NSBE convention. These conventions are transformative experiences where our members engage with the national NSBE community, compete in engineering challenges, and participate in career-launching professional development opportunities. By attending, we showcase our skills in high-level competitions, often bringing home awards and recognition for our achievements.
