TEDxUTAustin 2025 Conference

TEDxUTAustin, an independently organized TEDx event, was established in 2017 with a mission to bring "ideas worth spreading" to life at The University of Texas at Austin and the greater Austin community. Run entirely by students, TEDxUTAustin is a dynamic platform showcasing the changemakers and innovators who are challenging norms and redefining their fields across diverse disciplines.

At the core of our organization is a 36-person student team that manages every aspect of our events—from speaker curation and stage design to marketing, logistics, and audiovisual production. Each year, we create a uniquely UT Austin experience, combining creativity, collaboration, and a shared passion for impactful ideas.

Our events reach far beyond the auditorium, with all talks uploaded to the TEDx YouTube channel, home to over 40 million subscribers. Past talks have reached millions of viewers worldwide, with several speakers receiving additional promotion from the global TED organization. As we continue to grow, TEDxUTAustin is cementing its role as a vital space for sparking meaningful conversations and inspiring change.

Where Will Your Contribution Go?

TEDxUTAustin is entirely self-funded, relying on individual donations, sponsorships, and ticket sales to bring our vision to life. Every dollar raised directly supports enhancing our conference experience, covering essential costs such as venue rental, audiovisual production, speaker and performer support, and the interactive elements that make our events memorable.

Our upcoming conference explores how individuals and communities navigate pivotal moments of transition, innovation, and challenge. The 2025 conference will feature an incredible lineup of speakers, including UT students, faculty, alumni, and community leaders with topics ranging from engineering, design, biotechnology, culture, and self-discovery. However, the conference experience doesn’t stop at the talks.  Attendees can engage with interactive showcases from startups and companies rooted in Austin or UT Austin and explore a gallery of artwork by UT students. A post-conference reception will offer opportunities for further connection and reflection.
