Texas Baseball was special to Sean and Brodie Copeland who tragically lost their lives in the terrorist attack in Nice, France on July 14, 2016. Surviving family members Kim, Austin and Maegan Copeland have collaborated with the Longhorn Foundation to introduce a baseball scholarship endowment created to preserve and honor the life, legacy and spirit of Sean and Brodie.
The Sean & Brodie Copeland Memorial Endowment for Texas Baseball, when fully realized, will provide an annual scholarship package for a baseball student-athlete who best embodies the qualities the family holds dear. “They both were givers. Empathetic, loving, caring and kind. That’s who they were. Truly genuinely compassionate people.” Kim says of Sean and Brodie. “They had such a passion for each other and for life. They were two peas in a pod.”
Please consider making a gift of any size to celebrate Sean and Brodie’s zeal for life.
Your contribution will support the education of a deserving University of Texas student-athlete.“Our community, really the world, wanted to be so involved but didn’t know what they could do,” Kim says. “This is a way for people, whether you’re strangers or not, to honor Sean and Brodie and help make sure their legacy lives on.”
