Thank you so much! UT Votes is blown away by your generosity.

April 14, 2017

THANK YOU!

Thank you to each and every one of you for your kind donations. We have beat our fundraising goal by 50 percent and that is because of wonderful donors like you! Over the last two days, we raised nearly $1,000 as part of 40 Hours for the 40 Acres. We want to send a special thank you to those of you who donated yesterday between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.; due to your generosity, we won an additional $500! Including the $500 award, we have raised a total of $3,496 with an original goal of $2,000.

This Hornraiser has one week left. If you have any friends or family who may be interested in supporting UT Votes, we would greatly appreciate it if you would share this link with them: bit.ly/UTVotesHornraiser. Please follow us on social media to stay up-to-date with UT Votes moving forward, we have Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

As a special thank you, we want to share this outtake from our photoshoot with our very own Uncle Sam (Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Life Director, Susan Nold).

UT Votes hits 75% of fundraising goal, only $450 away

April 05, 2017

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Thank you so much for your ongoing support of UT Votes! Your donations and willingness to spread the message about what we do has been overwhelming. We truly belong to a community of civically-minded individuals.

Last night, we reached over 75 percent of our goal. We are only $450 away from making our goal with 16 days left. Will you please help us spread the word about the work we do at the University of Texas and around Austin to improve civic engagement in our community? Please consider posting this to your social media or sharing this message via email, text, or phone call to your own community:

Twitter: I support @UTVotes because civic engagement is a key to a bright future. Please donate at bit.ly/UTVotesHornraiser for a #CivicallyEngagedUT

All other venues: I support UT Votes because I believe civic engagement is the key to a bright future for our country. Please consider making donation in honor of your civic hero at bit.ly/UTVotesHornraiser for a #CivicallyEngagedUT. (If you have a civic hero, please also share the story. We cannot wait to read them!)

UT Votes hits 50% funding & earns "Voter Friendly Campus" Designation

March 25, 2017

UT Votes Hits Midway Point for Fundraising

Thanks to people like you, UT Votes raised over half of its fundraising goal in less than 18 days. We are so thankful to have support from our family, friends, co-workers, and community! If you know someone who cares about civic engagement, we encourage you to please share our fundraising page or share their information with a member, so we can reach out personally.

UT Leads Way to Voter Friendly Designation

We are proud to announce that the University of Texas at Austin is one of 83 campuses nationwide to make democratic engagement a priority. As part of Campus Vote Project and NASPA’s “Voter Friendly Campus” program UT Votes is committed to ensuring our students have the information and tools they need to register and vote. Together, with our fellow “Voter Friendly Campuses” we served over 1.4 million students in the fall of 2016! Imagine the difference we can make in our nation’s democracy for years to come! To learn more, visit https://www.voterfriendlycampus.org/.

Thank you for helping us raise over $500!

March 15, 2017

Thank you to everyone who has donated! We could not have made it to 25 percent of our goal without you. We are only $1,465 away from reaching our $2,000 goal.

Please consider sharing our fundraiser with other people who care about creating a #CivicallyEngagedUT.

In the last week, we have posted testimonials from student members on why being a part of UT Votes is important to them. You can find them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Check out our first testimonial from Chief Volunteer Deputy Registrar, Sarah Herzer:

We appreciate your belief in the UT Votes mission!
