Opportunity to Honor a Wonderful Teacher and Mentor
In April 2017, Dr. John Murphy was inducted into the American Advertising Federation Southwest Division Hall of Fame, and shortly after, he was named one of the ten best educators by Alcalde magazine for 2017. These tremendous honors are the most recent of the 19 awards he has received throughout his career.
During the fall of 2017, students, friends, colleagues, and family of John Murphy have the opportunity to be part of establishing an endowed scholarship in his honor. The John Murphy Endowed Scholarship will be a lasting tribute to a wonderful teacher and mentor, and it will award annual scholarships to seniors in the Stan Richards School of Advertising & Public Relations that have demonstrated academic excellence and leadership. John Murphy's passion has always been supporting students, and this scholarship will continue that legacy in perpetuity.
